The German Autobahn is an experience that shouldn’t be missed, with sections that have no mandated speed limit. However, the average recommended speed on the Autobahn is about 130km/h (80mph). In built-up areas, the speed limit usually reduces to 50km/h. Remember to keep right unless you are overtaking and use indicator while changing lanes. Unlike in the UK, driving is on the right-hand side of the road in Germany.
