Unlike driving in the UK where vehicles keep to the left side of the road, in Germany and hence in Baden-Württemberg, the driving is on the right-hand side. Roundabouts are also navigated in a clockwise direction. For your convenience in transitioning, consider renting a car with automatic transmission.
Speed Limits & Traffic Rules
German Autobahns are famous for certain sections without a speed limit, they do actually have a recommended speed limit of 130 km/h. Urban or built-up areas typically have a speed limit of 50 km/h whilst outside these areas you can travel up to 100 km/h. Do note, speed traps are common.
Motorway Toll: Sticker not required
