A compact car is a good choice if you are staying within the town and won't be travelling off-road much. However, if you plan to explore mountainous terrain, a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) would be the best bet.
With narrow roads and limited parking, driving in Lefkada town can be a bit challenging. Fortunately, there are several large parking lots on the outskirts. Also, while driving, do keep in mind that some streets in the town are steep, so a car with a good brake system is recommended.
