Local Customs

Spanish people value their siestas - a mid-afternoon break that can often see shops closing from around 2 pm until 5 pm, so plan your travels well. When ordering a coffee, bear in mind that a 'cafe solo' is their version of an espresso. Evening meals are typically eaten late, around 9-10 pm.
