Driving in Seoul might seem daunting at first. The city can be fast-paced, and the roads ultra-modern. Unlike driving on the left-hand side in the UK, remember that Koreans drive on the right side of the road. Another point to note is the fast speed of traffic flow. With a little patience and navigation, you can get used to it.
The speed limit in urban areas is typically 60-80 km/h, while highways can go up to 120 km/h. Traffic lights, road signs and speed cameras are plenty, so stick to the rules to avoid fines. Seat belts are a must, and phones should always be hands-free when driving. Do remember, In Korea, you will need an International Driving Permit (IDP).
