Canada's dramatic landscapes demand a capable car. With an array of car rental companies at the airport itself, you won't have any trouble finding one. But, weather conditions can be unpredictable. So depending on the season and your intentions, your car choice could be a compact car for city cruising, an SUV for off-road escapades, or perhaps a truck for those snowy winter drives. Always better to be safe than sorry, eh?

Section 4: Get Fueled Up

Keep in mind, petrol stations aren't as plentiful in this part of the world as in some. So, if you're in for a long day on the road, it's wise to fuel up near the airport before setting out.

Section 5: All Aboard, Here's What You Need to Know!

Feel free to use CAD (Canadian currency), but many places accept credit cards too. Don't worry too much though, as there are several cash machines at the airport.

The main car rental kiosks are located in the arrivals hall while petrol stations are usually along the Trans-Canada Highway, less than 10 minutes' drive from the airport.

Weather-wise, Kamloops enjoys a sunny semi-arid climate. Usually, it's warm and dry in the summer and cold but sunny in the winter.

Section 6: Onwards to Adventure

Once you've got your wheels, the world—or British Columbia, at least—is your oyster. Niagara Falls, Sun Peaks Resort, Aberdeen Shopping Mall, and numerous vineyards are all reachable by car. Plus, the stunning coastal city of Vancouver is under a four-hour drive away.
