Navigating the City

Driving in Mexico is an experience unlike driving in the UK. Here are a few points to be aware of:

• The driving side is on the right, unlike the left in the UK.
• Speed limits are generally observed and are usually 60-70km/h on freeways, dropping as low as 40km/h in urban areas.
• Most of the parking is paid. Pay attention to the street signage to avoid fines.

Getting Fuel

Fuel stations are generally plentiful near the airport, so you will never be far from a fill-up. Petrol, known as "Gasolina", is sold in litres rather than gallons. Do note, credit cards are widely accepted but it is always wise to carry some cash, as some stations may not accept cards.

The climate in Chihuahua is desert-like, considerably different from the UK. Make sure to pack sun protection, as summertime temperatures can soar to the mid-30s degrees celsius.
