Before you head west to the City of Angels, there are a few key differences between driving in the UK and the US to be aware of. It may take a little time to adjust, but we're confident you'll soon be cruising along like a local.
- Driving side: Cars in the US drive on the right-hand side of the road. Burbank's roads accommodate safe travel, and road signs are clear, you should adjust soon enough.
- Speed limits: Speed limits are marked in miles per hour, not kilometers. Limits can range from 25 mph on city streets to 65 mph on most freeways. Be sure to follow all posted signs, as speed limits can change.
- Parking: Keep an eye on parking restrictions in downtown Burbank, and remember to park your car facing the direction of the traffic. In commercial zones, parking meters usually operate from 8 am to 6 pm, Monday to Saturday. Don't forget to keep some change handy.
