Bol Airport (BWK), also known as Brač Airport, is a small airport located on the island of Brač, in the Split-Dalmatia County of Croatia. It provides a gateway to the central Dalmatian islands and the Croatian mainland, particularly the picturesque town of Bol.
Make your holiday more meaningful and convenient by choosing an ideal car rental. There are several car hire companies at BWK Airport to suit your particular requirements and budgets. The car rental stations are found inside the terminal building, and you can book online in advance.
Note, unlike in the UK, Croatians drive on the right-hand side of the road. That can feel a bit strange if you're from the UK, so take your time to adjust.
Given the charming and hilly terrains of the Split-Dalmatian county, a compact car can be ideal for solo or couples. However, if you're travelling with family or friends, considering a larger, comfy vehicle would be practical.
Fuel up! Several gas stations are easily accessible from the airport. The closest ones are INA in Bol town and Lukoil in Supetar. They accept both Kuna (the Croatian currency) and credit cards for payments.
Croatia enjoys a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild winters. Do pack your beachwear! And remember, the currency is Kuna, not Euros.
Don't miss out on Split, the region's largest city filled with Roman architecture, and Dubrovnik, the Pearl of the Adriatic. And on Brac island, hit Bol's famous golden pebble beach renowned for its changing shape and direction with the wind – the Zlatni Rat.
No direct ferry services connect Bol Airport and Split, but you can drive from Supetar (on the same island) to Split as well as to other parts of the Brač Island and the county.
Let the adventure begin! Rent your car and enjoy your memorable holiday in the scenic Split-Dalmatia County.
